Prerequisite: MATH 1351

There will
be four in-class (1 hour 20 mins each) exams each counting 15% of
your grade. These exams will be announced and come approximately
at the end of chapters 6, 7, 8 and 9. Homework will count 10% of your
grade. There are no make-up exams except for sickness
and participation in a university-sponsored event. In such
circumstances, evidence of your sickness or participation in a
university-sponsored event must be presented to the instructor!

Student Learning Outcomes:
Math 1352 satisfies the
university core curriculum requirement in Mathematics: “Students
graduating from Texas Tech University should be able to demonstrate
the ability to apply quantitative and logical skills to solve
problems.” It meets the TTU general education student
learning outcomes for mathematics that students will:
Students become proficient in techniques of integration and the use of integration to solve real world problems. They also understand the basic properties of convergent series and sequences. In particular, the students will:

Jan. 07, Wednesday: | Student initiated drop-add begins on the web. |
Jan. 12, Monday: | Last day for student initiated add on the web. |
Jan. 23, Friday: | Last day for student initiated drop on the web. Last day to drop a course and receive a full refund. Does not apply to students who drop to 0 hours. |
Feb. 04, Wednesday: | Last day to withdraw from the University and Receive a partial refund. LAST DAY TO DROP A COURSE AND RECEIVE AN AUTOMATIC “W”. |
Apr. 24, Friday: | Last day to withdraw from the university. Last day for undergraduate degree candidates to remove grades of “I” and “P”and to complete final examinations in correspondence courses. |

Religious Holy Day Observance:
Texas House Bill 256
requires institutions of higher education to excuse a student from
attending classes or other required activities, including
examination, for the observance of a religious holy day. The
student shall also be excused for time necessary to travel. An
institution may not penalize the student for the absence and allows
for the student to take an exam or complete an assignment from which
the student is excused. No prior notification of the instructor
is required.
